terms
last updated september 27, 2026.
these are the ground rules for using sevenish. we've kept them short and plain. by using sevenish (signing in, starting a group, or answering an invitation), you agree to them.
what we keep about you, and who sees it, is on the privacy page. read the two together.
who we are
sevenish is made by Small Group Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in california. "we" and "us" on this page mean Small Group Network.
sevenish is new. right now, a small number of groups are trying it. it's free, and there's nothing to buy.
who can use it
sevenish is for adults. you need to be 18 or older to make an account or to answer an invitation.
if you host, invite adults only.
your account
you sign in with a link we email you, or with google. there's no password to remember.
so your account is only as safe as your email. anyone who can open your inbox can sign in as you. keep it safe, and write to us if you think someone else got in.
use a name your people would know you by, and keep your account to yourself.
groups and hosts
if you start a group, you're its host. you decide who gets its link, who's in, and what stays on its wall.
you can bring in co-hosts to help, and hand the keys to someone else. the count stays — it belongs to the group.
your nights happen in the real world: in homes, cafés, and parks. the hosts and the people who come are responsible for them. we don't check who anyone is, and we're not there.
put a place on a night only if you're happy for everyone you invite to see it.
guests
you can answer an invitation without an account. we keep the name and email you give us so we can send you what you need for that night. these terms apply to you too.
every invitation has a link to delete everything about me.
what you post
what you add is still yours: comments, photos, prayer requests, night-list items, notes, and your group's name, cover, and description.
to make sevenish work, you give us permission to store it, copy it, resize it, and show it to the people you post it for: on your group's pages, on its invite link, and in the emails we send about your nights. we don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it.
that permission ends when the thing is deleted, apart from a few copies that take a little longer to clear. the privacy page says how long.
only post what's yours to post: your own words and photos, or ones you have permission to use.
prayer requests and photos often carry other people's stories. post only what they'd be okay with your group knowing.
gifs come from giphy, and giphy's own rules apply to them.
if something on sevenish uses your work without your permission, write to help@sevenish.app and we'll look into it.
reports and take-downs
you can take down anything you posted. a group's hosts can take down anything on its wall.
if something crosses a line, report it. the group's hosts are told, and so are we. a real person reads every report.
you can also block someone. their posts and reactions disappear for you, and only you.
we can take down anything that breaks these terms or the law.
what's not okay
don't use sevenish to:
- threaten, harass, bully, or stalk anyone.
- post anything hateful, sexual, or violent.
- post someone's private details, or photos of them, without their okay.
- pretend to be someone you're not.
- send spam or ads, or invite people who didn't ask to hear from you.
- break the law, or someone else's rights, like their copyright.
- get into accounts or groups that aren't yours, copy sevenish in bulk, or get around its limits.
if you do, we can take things down and close your account. if someone is in danger, we may contact the police.
our emails
we send sign-in links when you ask for one, emails about your nights, and a few one-off notes, like an invitation to co-host or a note that a comment was reported. no newsletters, no marketing.
the automatic emails about your nights each have a line at the bottom to turn them off. turning them off doesn't stop the note when a night moves or is cancelled.
hosts can also switch off their group's automatic emails in the group's settings.
sevenish on other sites
some sites may carry a small sevenish form for starting a group. it asks only for your email. we send you a link, and nothing is set up until you open it.
the site the form sits on can't see your email or your group. once you open the link, you're on sevenish, and these terms apply.
churches
sevenish isn't run by any church.
you can add your church to your profile. only people in your groups can see it.
a group can ask to be connected with its church. someone in the group offers their name for the request, a host sends it on, and a contact at the church confirms it or doesn't. no one at the church needs an account.
the church sees only what your group chooses to show. it won't receive a list of your people.
churches don't pay for this, and a connection doesn't list your group publicly.
leaving
you can delete your account from your profile at any time. we'll email you a link to make it final. nothing happens until you tap it.
if you hold the keys to a group with someone else in it, hand them to someone first. a group with nobody else in it ends with your account.
the privacy page says what's deleted, what stays, and for how long.
we can close an account, or end a group, that breaks these terms.
when things change
sevenish is early, and it will change. we may add, change, or take away parts of it.
when these terms change, the date at the top changes too. if you keep using sevenish after that, the new terms apply.
the small print
sevenish comes as it is. we work hard on it, but we can't promise it will always be up, always be right, or never lose anything.
don't rely on it alone for anything that matters. a reminder might not arrive, and a time could be wrong. keep your own copy of what matters to you; download my data is on your profile.
as far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for what happens at a night, between people in a group, or on another site. if we are responsible for something, the most we'll owe you is $100.
some places don't allow limits like these, so parts of this may not apply to you.
california law governs these terms.
